First and foremost a Community event, Droidcon London 2012 would've been nothing if it weren't for you. Many of you stepped up to to present at Barcamp or pitch at Democamp. There were cooking hats, frogs growing legs, and even a sneaky Rickroll. As for the numbers... How about a little tally? Droidcon London 2012 saw...
- 1100 people visiting over the course of two days, with 850 on the Thursday evening!
- 90 speakers in total for 70+ presentations over Barcamp and Conference day!
- 28 keen presenters for Democamp!
- 60 hardcore Droiders that went on for a weekend of coding at the VHack Hackathon at Skills Matter over the weekend
- Supported by the truly impressive RNIB, Sony, Startapp, and Alcatel One Touch, apps are already available like WePoker, and coming to home near you soon MyHomeNotifier
NEW STUFF!
With the Android Community driving innovation, we were swamped with new stuff:
- A first in the history of Droidcon London, we saw the launch of a new smartphone: welcome to AdZero's Bamboo Phone!
- And what about these three new Android applications: OUYA, Vendscreen, and Parrot's Asteroid!
- No less than 10 apps were launched, including TapToWifi, making us the first ever conference to implement the solution!
